Friends of the Linen Hall

The Friends of the Linen Hall Library make an important contribution to the Library’s life and work; they make regular commitments to Library running costs, and provide financial support for specific projects, acquisitions and conservation.

Each year the Friends organise a programme of trips (previous very successful venues have included Paris, Rome, Oxford and a number of Irish locations), entertainments, social events, and lectures.

All standard Library members are eligible to join the Friends, and the modest three-year subscription of £15.00 covers running and mailing costs. As a Friend, you will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Prior notice of, and priority booking for, events organised by the Friends
  • Special guided outings to places of cultural and historic interest, often not open to the public. These may include overseas visits.
  • Opportunity to become more involved in Library initiatives and activities.
