Breathe Various, by Laura Graham EXHIBITION
Breathe Various by Laura Graham
The inaugural piece, entitled ‘Door’, is a massive 7ft x 3ft pair of lips erected over the Library’s iconic Donegall Square North entrance.
Using media traditionally associated with street-level advertising, everyday signage and industrial processes, Graham challenges the public to see the Linen Hall Library in a new light. The lips represent the need to communicate multi-culturally in our ever-changing society, and the importance of the Library in this dynamic.
Breathe Various will be followed by a number of complementary events from January to June including a philosophical café and dramatic interpretations of the Library’s archives. |
