SUPPORT US - HOW YOU CAN HELP!

'No institution in Northern Ireland has done more to promote enlightenment and represent a better
future for all our citizens'

Nobel Laureate, Seamus Heaney

The Linen Hall Library was a radical and 'enlightenment' eighteenth century foundation, and ever since has prized its independence, and has maintained the principle that its resources are owned by the community for the community. It is a self-governing, nonprofits charitable organisation that relies on a variety of funding sources for its activities. This support enables the Linen Hall to share its collection and programmes with thousands of visitors each year, helping the widest possible audience access our resources.

In the changing society of Northern Ireland, the Linen Hall Library is well placed to make a significant contribution. For more than 200 years the Linen Hall ethos has been one of inclusion not exclusion, and it has served as a source of inspiration to the community as a whole. The Linen Hall gives its unique intellectual and spiritual resources to all in this contested society 'without fear or favour'. We widen the possibilities and vision of our society.

There are many ways to give to the Linen Hall, with many benefits and possibilities available to you in thanks for your generosity (see the list above). We thank our members and donors for their loyalty and enthusiasm and look forward to working with new friends as we build for the future.
